Alessia Centioni

Alessia is an Italian political strategist, policy adviser, and entrepreneur. With over 15 years of experience at the European Parliament, she has worked on some of the Union’s most important policy areas, including the internal market, industry, trade, and defence.

She is the co-founder and president of the European Women Alliance (EWA) and Civico Europa, two organisations dedicated to promoting civic engagement, leadership, and gender equality at the European level.

In 2018, she founded the Women’s European Council (WEUCO) within the European Women Alliance-an ambitious and innovative pre-summit held ahead of European Council meetings. By bringing together Heads of State and Government, ministers, European Commissioners, and Members of the European Parliament, WEUCO has become a unique platform to ensure that a gender perspective is embedded across all EU public policies and strategic decisions.

She holds a degree in International relations from Sapienza University of Rome and a Master’s degree in European Studies from the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB).
