Elizabeth Kuiper
Adviser
Elizabeth is Associate Director at the Brussels-based European Policy Centre, focusing on economic security and Europe’s life sciences industry, as well as on policies strengthening societal resilience and sustainability (including gender policies). She equally works on mainstreaming social investment in areas such as healthcare and affordable housing. Increasingly, her work addresses the implications of artificial intelligence — from its impact on the labour market and the future of work, to questions of human agency, values, and what it means to develop AI that serves people and society.
Before joining the EPC, Elizabeth was Executive Director at the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA). She previously worked as Attaché at the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the EU in the field of health and as Political Adviser to the Minister of Health, Welfare and Sports in the Netherlands, the country she knows best.
