Simon Chase

Simon directs Panterra’s Advisory division. He oversees Panterra’s global operations in advising sovereign governments and leading global corporations in managing complex transnational issues. He has launched the advisory division’s work in new frontiers in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe.

Before joining Panterra, Simon held senior roles in the FCDO for 15 years, serving in a variety of countries in Africa and the Middle East. He developed expertise through his leadership roles in managing complex conflict mediation (Somalia, Syria, Yemen, Sahel, Afghanistan). He worked with European allies in sensitive political negotiations developing a deep network. He performed a leadership role in the Gulf as a trade and investment adviser, leading several high value investment deals. He also worked as a human rights and development advocate in the nonprofit sector, collaborating closely with the United Nations and the European Commission.
